July 19th (Saturday) 10:30-8:00 pm - Music Showcase and Classic Car Cruise-In at Patton Park. See linked poster and linked poster. Come as early as 10:30 to participate in a drum circle!
August 8th (Friday) evening. Live Music at Ohuta - Prairie Street Jazz. The LCAA is helping promote a live concert at Ohuta park by Prairie Street Jazz led by Eric Staschek. More info to come.
August 16th (Saturday) 7:00 pm - Live Music at the LCAA - Lehto and Wright. More info to come.
August 22nd - 24th - A Members Only exhibit. This private collection is available for viewing for only 3 days to LCAA members only.
August 30th (Saturday) 7:00 pm. Live Music at the LCAA - Brent and Sheena. More info to come.
September 19th (Friday) 6:30 - 7:15 pm. - Mixed Nuts - a kids appropriate comedy show. Fun for the whole family. More information to come.
Regularly scheduled events
Tuesday, 10 am-noon - Music Circle. All musical instruments are welcome in the mix. Roughly 10 "regulars" bring guitars, banjos, accordions, trombones, saxophones, and drums. Songs are played by ear, and people join in with whoever brings their own music. You are also invited to quietly listen to the "jammin".
The Community Choir will be taking June and July off. Choir practice will resume on Tuesday, August 5th under the direction of Lisa Wallerich!
Wednesday, 3-5 pm. (1st Wed of month), Monthly Storytellers' meeting, hosted by Sue Kruger - members meet to share their recent written works or verbal stories. Bring your favorite stories to share or your latest work for the group to enjoy. We are there for polite critique, inspiration and compliments.
Thursday, 6-8 pm - Music JAM! This is a weekly JAM session led by Andrew Eggenberger and Jeff Bartelt . Bring an instrument, JAM, and learn from your fellow musicians.
Fridays, 10-2pm - Open Studio Hours through the summer (Jun-Aug).
Sundays, 1-4 pm - Open MIC or planned programming - hosts/planners: Jim Rahm, Don Schwartz, and Art Orth
NOTE: The regularly scheduled programming above and Open Studio hours are free for LCAA members or $5 for non-members. Thursday evening, Open studio with Roger Rose has taken the summer off. Look for return in September. Friday afternoon, adult coloring with Billie Hunt has taken the summer off. Look for return in September.
