October 11th (Sunday) - 1:30 - 3:00 pm.  Live Music at the LCAA - Scott Keever.    Doors open at 1:00, music starts at 1:30.  Suggested donation at the door:  $5.  Poster coming soon.

October 17th (Satuday) - 7:00 pm.  Live Music at the LCAA - Don Harvey Duo performing their John Prine Tribute Show - you'll want to sing along!  Doors open at 6:30, Music at 7:00.  Suggested donation at the door:  $15.  See linked poster.  

October 25th (Sunday) - 1:30 pm.  Live Music at the LCAA - Steve Fessler -   Join us for live acoustic guitar!  Steve performs an eclectic mix of Country, Americana, Folk, Irish, Bluegrass and acoustic Rock.  Doors open at 1:00, Music starts at 1:30.  Suggested donation at the door:  $5

November 7th (Saturday) - 7:00 pm.  Live Music at the LCAA - Brent & Sheena.  Brent & Sheena are a beloved acoustic duo out of Red Wing, featuring Brent Wyatt and Sheena Tisland—two educators by day and seasoned performers by night. Known for their warm stage presence and crowd-pleasing versatility, they’ve become one of the most popular live acts in southeastern Minnesota in recent years.  Blending tight harmonies with acoustic guitar-driven arrangements, Brent & Sheena cover a wide range of music spanning the 1960s to today. Their setlists move effortlessly across genres—rock, country, Motown, pop, and more—creating a nostalgic yet fresh experience that resonates with audiences of all ages. Doors open at 6:30, Music at 7:00.  Suggested donation at the door:  $15. We are now accepting donations for our wreath auction (due by November 1st) and our Winter "Chill & Thrill" at the Sportsman's Club (due February 15th).  If you have something you would like to donate, let us know.  Here are some ideas:  gift certificates, your artisan works, gift baskets, and collectibles. See flyer below.

Regularly scheduled events

Note: Please check our calendar for unexpected changes to this schedule.

Tuesday, 10 am-noon - Open Studio Hours during the Music Circle* hosted by Sam Poppleton.  Music Circle members (as well as those who visit to enjoy listening to the music) are encouraged to be members of the LCAA...membership funds help us keep the doors open.

  •  Tuesday, 7-8 pm - Community Choir practice- The Community Choir is taking a short break and will resume practices after the end of the year.  The Community Choir is led by Lisa Wallerich and is open to community members (adults and high school aged).

  • Wednesday (the first Wednesday of each month), 3-5 pm., co-hosted by Jim Rahm and Jean Benson.  Monthly Storytellers' meeting - members meet to share their recent written works or verbal stories.  Both prose and poetry are welcome, whether written or oral. Often there are suggested topics for the month, but please feel free to bring whatever you have to share. 

  • Thursdays: 

    • 10-noon - Adult coloring group led by Billie Hunt starts up again on Thursday, September 4th.  Note, the new day and time.

    • 6-8 pm - Music JAM!  This is a weekly JAM session led by Andrew Eggenberger and Jeff Bartelt.  Bring an instrument, JAM, and learn from your fellow musicians.  

    • 6-8 pm - Open Studio Hours led by artist, Roger Rose. Open Studio is a non-structured time for art-making, creative experimentation, and material exploration. Non-structured means that there are no lessons taught. All art forms are welcome.

    • 6-8 pm - Stitches. Textile and Fiber Artists are encouraged to join Open Studio the first Thursday of each month starting in October.  It doesn't matter whether you knit, crochet, embroider, weave or quilt - join your fellow Stitch and fiber enthusiasts at LCAA. 

  • Fridays, 10 am-2 pm  - Open hours.  Stop in and see the current exhibit if you missed the opening reception.

  • Sundays, Check out Calendar!

    NOTE: The regularly scheduled programming above and Open Studio hours are free for LCAA members or $5 for non-members. 

Our Facility is wheelchair accessible.

Please visit our Community Art Exchange Box, located on the sidewalk just outside the LCAA Gallery at 105 W. Center Street. The box provides free, small format art and art supplies to anyone interested in exploring their artistic side...even when the Gallery isn’t open! NOTE: Through the summer - the Art Exchange Box is located by the splash park in Ohuta Park.
